Pall Mall is a critical regeneration scheme for Liverpool city centre. The project will see a large swathe of the city around Bixteth Gardens and Exchange Station redeveloped to bring forward 400,000 sq ft of commercial space, and a public square. The planning application includes full permission for the first office building, public realm and hotel with outline permission for two further offices.
SSE Enterprise Utilities in conjunction with Utility Engineering Solutions have designed and will install the new site-wide electric utility infrastructure for this development.
Current phases cover Plot A, 1.5mVA and comprise 1no. distribution substation and associated Low Voltage (LV) supplies for 3no. buildings, external and EV supplies. Plot B, 1mVA supplies a 13 storey 281 bedroom hotel. Future phases for Plots C & D cover 2mVA of office space.
The electricity network will be built to an adoptable standard.
Michael Robertson, Sector Director for Electricity Networks at SSE Enterprise, was full of praise for the team behind the project: “The team have worked exceptionally hard on this project, particularly in the area of design innovation which really helped us in securing this valuable project win for the business. This gives us further momentum for future projects and gives the team great confidence moving into 2020 and beyond.”
